Dr. Fisher received his A.B. degree in Human Relations from the University of California, Berkeley. He received his M.D. degree and a Master’s Degree in Public Health (M.S.P.H.) in Epidemiology from the University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri.

Dr Fisher was an intern at the United States Public Health Service Hospital, San Francisco, CA. He completed his Residency in Psychiatry at the University of California Medical Center, San Francisco, CA. After his residency he served as a Public Service Science Resident with the National Science Foundation.

He is Board Certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Community Service:

  • Dr Fisher currently serves as a Board Member; Science & Technology Corporation; University New Mexico since 2000.

  • He has been a member; Physician Leadership Committee; Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association (ACCMA) since 2018.

  • He was appointed by the Department of Defense (DOD) to the Joint Civilian Orientation Conference (JCOC). Traveled to the Middle East to meet with senior military leaders and present findings upon return to relevant audiences.

  • He founded the Center for Medical Democracy: An initiative to provide a platform for a broad variety of stakeholders to exchange thoughts and ideas with the overall intent of improving healthcare and its delivery.
