Fall 2026 Recruitment Timeline

Tabling

We will be tabling out on Sproul the week and a half leading up to info sessions—come meet us and say hi! Check out our Instagram for updates on where/when we’ll be tabling.

Info Sessions

  • August 28th @ 8:30pm - Dwinelle 145

Attending an info session is mandatory. This is an opportunity for you to learn more about the program, ask questions, and watch a few of our members perform a demonstration! After the info session, you’ll be able to sign up for your audition time slot—first come first served!

Auditions

  • September 4th

No prior experience or knowledge is expected at all, so don’t stress! We want to see your personality and performance style. Everyone will audition as an attorney and a witness.

For the attorney portion of your audition, you will perform a short statement (either an opening statement or a closing argument—your choice!). We will write and provide a statement for you. If you’d like to make edits to the provided statement (or even write your own), please feel free to do so, but if you perform the pre-written statement, you won’t be at a disadvantage! We recommend doing whatever you’re most comfortable with.

For the witness portion of your audition, we will provide you with 5 short affidavits (witness statements), and you will choose 2 witnesses to perform in your audition. These affidavits will include information about who your witness is, and how they are involved in the case. During your audition, we will ask you a few basic questions, and you will respond in character. HAVE FUN!! If you can do any accents, or want to come up with your own backstory for a character, please do so! We love to see your creativity :)

Coffee Chats

  • September 7th-10th

If you advance past auditions, you will schedule a coffee chat with a member of the executive committee. This is a chance for us to get to know you better, and vice versa!

Callbacks

  • September 11th-13th

Final round of tryouts! We will either have one or two rounds of callbacks taking place during this timeframe, depending on applicant volume.

You will perform the same material during callbacks as you did during auditions. You’ll get to meet our attorney coaches, and have an opportunity to incorporate live feedback into your performance. This is an opportunity for us to better understand your performance range, and see how you can incorporate feedback on the spot.
